Comfort makes pleasure.
It's our whole thesis. Not comfort as an afterthought, or comfort as the thing you settle for when you've given up on style — comfort as the actual source of pleasure in a day. The good chair. The heavy blanket. The evening where nothing is digging into you.
Marlow & Co is founded and run by women, and we started it because the things that make a home feel good are mostly sold badly: technical spec sheets, stock photos of people pretending to sleep, and no honest answer to the simple question of whether the thing will actually suit you.
How we choose
- It has to feel right first. Not photograph well — feel right, in your hands, on your body, at the end of a long day.
- It has to live in a real room. Nothing so precious it gets saved for guests. Colours that sit quietly with what you already own.
- We have to be able to tell you the truth about it. Including who it isn't for. If a blanket runs hot, we'll say so on the product page.
Small and staying that way
We stock very little on purpose. A short, well-chosen shop is more useful than a thousand near-identical options, and it means we actually know what we're selling. Right now our focus is weighted blankets — the single best thing we've found for making an evening feel different. More comfort pieces will follow, slowly, as they earn it.
